Power Flushing – Terms & Conditions

1. Service Overview

Power flushing is a specialist cleaning process designed to remove sludge, debris, and build-up from your heating system.

All power flushing services include an initial system assessment to determine whether the process is appropriate and will provide a clear benefit.

2. Assessment & Suitability

Every system is assessed on-site before any flushing work begins.

A power flush will only be carried out where it is considered suitable based on:

  • system condition
  • performance issues
  • overall effectiveness of the process

If a power flush is not considered appropriate, alternative recommendations will be provided.

3. Assessment Fee & Payment Structure

When booking a power flush, the payment includes:

  • attendance
  • system assessment
  • diagnostic work
  • and, where appropriate, the power flushing service

If a power flush proceeds, the full amount paid is applied to the service.

If a power flush does not proceed:

  • a portion of the payment is retained to cover the system assessment and diagnostic work carried out
  • the remaining balance will be refunded

This ensures that professional time, expertise, and inspection work are covered.

4. If Power Flushing Proceeds

Where a power flush is carried out, the service typically includes:

  • connection of specialist flushing equipment
  • circulation of cleaning solution through the system
  • flushing of individual radiators where required
  • removal of debris and sludge
  • system refill and addition of corrosion inhibitor
  • testing to confirm correct operation

5. If Power Flushing Does Not Proceed

If a power flush is not recommended or does not go ahead, you will receive:

  • a clear explanation of findings
  • professional recommendations
  • supporting photos where applicable
  • guidance on the most appropriate next steps

Any further work is quoted separately and only carried out with your approval.

6. System Condition & Risk

Heating systems vary in age and condition.

In some cases, power flushing may:

  • expose existing weaknesses within the system
  • highlight faults such as small leaks or failing components

These issues are not caused by the flushing process, but may become visible as a result of restoring flow and pressure within the system.

Where issues are identified, we will advise you clearly and discuss appropriate solutions.

7. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • provide safe and clear access to the heating system
  • ensure the system is operational and accessible at the time of the visit
  • inform us of any known issues where possible

8. Additional Work

Any work outside the scope of the power flushing service:

  • will be clearly explained
  • quoted separately
  • and only carried out with customer approval

9. Cancellations & Appointments

Appointments are confirmed upon receipt of payment.

If you need to reschedule, please provide reasonable notice.

Late cancellations may result in a charge to cover allocated time.

10. General

All services are carried out with care, professionalism, and in accordance with industry standards.

We aim to provide clear advice, transparent recommendations, and appropriate solutions based on your system.
